2. Visiting our website
When you visit our website, your browser automatically transmits technical data to our hosting provider's server. This includes in particular:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- page or file accessed and amount of data transferred
- website from which you reached our site (referrer)
- browser and operating system used
This data is stored in server log files. We need it to provide the website technically, to ensure its stability and security and to detect misuse. The log files are deleted after a short period unless they are needed for longer to investigate a security incident. We do not link this data to specific individuals.
Our website is operated by an external hosting provider with servers located in Switzerland that processes the data solely on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions.
3. Cookies
Our website does not use cookies for analytics, tracking or advertising. Only one technically necessary cookie is used:
- pll_language: stores the language you have selected (German or English) so that the website is displayed in that language. Storage period: 1 year. The cookie does not contain any personal data.
You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. The website remains fully usable without this cookie.
4. No web analytics and no third-party content
We do not use any web analytics services (such as Google Analytics), social media plug-ins or advertising and tracking technologies. Fonts and images are loaded directly from our own server; no data is transmitted to third parties such as Google in the process.
Our website contains links to external websites, for example LinkedIn or GastroSuisse. You are only redirected to the provider's website when you click on such a link. The respective provider is solely responsible for any data processing there.
5. Contacting us
If you contact us by email or telephone, we process the information you provide (e.g. name, company, email address, telephone number and the content of your enquiry) in order to answer your enquiry and deal with any follow-up questions. We do not pass this data on to third parties without your consent.
6. Clients and seminar participants
In connection with proposals, assignments and the delivery of seminars, training and mystery guest visits, we process the data required for this purpose about our clients and their contact persons (e.g. contact details, contract and invoicing data). For seminars, the names of participants may also be processed, for example for attendance lists or certificates.
Mystery guesting reports do not name employees; they are described by their role. The reports are handed over exclusively to the respective client.
We only publish photos from seminars with the consent of the people shown.
7. Disclosure to third parties and processors
We do not sell your data and only disclose it if this is necessary for the purposes stated, required by law or if you have given your consent. The following service providers process data on our behalf:
- Hosting provider for operating the website and the server log files
- Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC (Google Drive) for storing website backups
Data may also be disclosed to authorities, accountants or legal advisers where required by law or necessary to protect our rights.
8. Processing abroad
Website backups are stored on Google Drive. In this context, data may be transferred to the USA. Google LLC is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the Swiss Federal Council has recognised as providing adequate data protection. Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy.
9. Retention period
We only process personal data for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose. We retain business records such as proposals, contracts and invoices for the statutory retention period, which is generally ten years. Enquiries that do not lead to an assignment are deleted once they have been dealt with and there is no obligation to retain them.
10. Data security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access and misuse. The connection to our website is encrypted using SSL/TLS (recognisable by «https» in the address bar).
11. Your rights
Within the scope of applicable data protection law, you have in particular the following rights:
- access to information on whether and which personal data we process about you
- rectification of inaccurate data
- erasure of your data, unless there is an obligation to retain it

- withdrawal of consent you have given, with effect for the future
To exercise these rights, simply send a message to florian@riekmann.ch. We may ask you to verify your identity.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Switzerland, this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). Individuals in the EU or EEA may contact the data protection authority in their country of residence.
12. Legal bases (where the GDPR applies)
Where the GDPR applies, we base processing on the following legal grounds: performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), our legitimate interests in operating the website securely and answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) and your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
